went from an aloof, mysterious power player to somewhat of a ditzy needful weakling. There was some significant changes whose consequences are yet known but bode eventual harm toward Rowan and his party. The intrigue continues to increase as well as the introduction of other characters to Rowan’s band. There are some reveals unfolding, not the least of which of indicators that this world may well have been Earth, many millennia ago.
In addition to Aurora’s character being diminished, Rowan’s old man, all-knowing personality is becoming irritating.
Still, I enjoyed Book 2 and plan to purchased Book 3 audiobook.
Jeff Hays’s performance is fine but the know-it-all Rowan performance is bothersome. It was written that way so it’s not his fault but still. Also, the narrator for Aurora really made did a number on her personality.
