Well, that was fun!
It’s not super complicated (and not in a bad way. It’s not super predictable or anything). Basically, a college kid inadvertently gets involved with the mafia. Shenanigans ensue. Hilarious shenanigans.
This book is really funny. It’s short, fast paced, full of movie, book, and other pop culture references, breaks the fourth wall in a really funny way, and it is absolutely chock full of lols. I definitely know a Chester in real life. I also love how the cover has him wearing socks with sandals. Because of course he would. Of course.
Jeff Hays is the actual perfect narrator for this. It wasn’t just him telling the story, he *became* Ellis. He told Ellis’ story very, very well.
This is a great, fun use of 4 and a half hours. 🙂
#lovedit (Yep. That just happened.)
