Imagine “A Night at the Museum” but way hotter. A museum apprentice accidentally awakens a 5,000 cursed mummified warrior king, who happens to be gay and look like an Armani model. It sounds wacky, and at times (when the Egyptian gods come into play) it might get too far fetched…. but this is a really fun story with great characters and some seriously sexy scenes. The narrator does a nice job navigating the various tones of the book… bringing out the humor in the supporting cast, giving the right tone to the m/m action and also navigating the challenging scenes with the Gods. I really enjoyed it and I think it would actually make a great beginning for a series. Logan and Seti have great chemistry and they make a super sexy spin on the odd-couple idea. I thought Logan was a wonderful character – and I also thought it was pretty cool that the characters were vers.
