I thought as a whole the story in this one was great. got to see a bit more about the legion, learn more about the dungeon and by the ending it lays out a cool semi ne growth path for anthony so it doesn’t feel like that aspect will get stale. my only gripe and this isn’t really a huge thing I felt like at some points about 3/4th of the way the story dragged just a little. it was still enjoyable and the payouts with the big battles and war at the end were definitely worth it, but, as someone who works 12 hour shifts and drives 2 hours to work I usually binge these books in just a couple of days whereas, this one took me closer to a week cause in that middle section Where stuff wasn’t quite as exciting I tended to not listen for as long. Again I don’t want to dog the story cause it was by no means uninteresting and I understand much of the less exciting stuff was necessary to build up the world and motivations for the end of the book but personally I’d say start of the book 9/10 middle 7-8/10 then the end 10/10 with the large battles and effects of the battles being pretty nice to see. I would highly recommended this book and am excited for the next installment.
