Would you consider the audio edition of Lawton to be better than the print version?
I thought that reading Lawton’s perspective was good, boy, was I wrong!!!! Connor does an amazing job narrating this book. Being able to listen to Lawton’s perspective is even better. The Narrator Connor, brings a more realistic down to earth, swoon-worthy vibe to Lawton. He is more reachable personality wise, I was hooked as soon as I pushed play. I would catch myself just sitting there listening and forget what I was doing completely. Well done, Sabrina Stark, on choosing this fantastic Narrator!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Lawton Rastor is definitely my favorite character, being able to hear his perspective and understand where he comes from, why he is stand offish in some scenes. It brings to light the down to earth personality that allows you to connect with him a lot more than when we read Chloe’s perspective. And just to mention again…the voice!!! My goodness, makes it even better!
What does Connor Brown bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Connor brings Lawton to life, he brings the personality that we all didn’t get to see when reading/listening to Chloe’s perspective in Unbelonging/Rebelonging. I feel like even reading it, you don’t get that full connection. Until you listen to Connor narrating Lawton, he brings that down to earth personality, the caring, funny, human being that Lawton really is. And did I mention, Swoon-worthy! Connor was the perfect choice to narrate, Lawton. You always worry that certain “scenes” will be awkward depending on the narrator, not in this case, perfectly suave, and if anything hooked me into those specific scenes, even more.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
YES! I was upset every time I had to pause or stop it so I could you know, go to bed for work the next day. ha ha! I cannot wait to listen to Rastor narrated by Connor, this left me wanting more! Most definitely!
Any additional comments?
More than likely repeating myself, but Connor did a fanstastic job, Lawton is now someone I feel I understand, can relate to, and someone that I know has Chloe’s good intentions at heart. Not that I thought he was bad in the previous books, but I feel like he is someone more reachable, not this famous meat head, that has nothing but that going for him.
