Rags to Royals is a royal romance that ticked every one of my boxes and kept me invested in the story and characters from beginning to end! It’s steamy and involves a second chance with a prince who has found his match only for her to disappear after setting him on the path to passion projects they discussed in their short time together. He is looking for her, but she has secrets and is set on disappearing back into her small town. This story does show another side to small towns, the one you don’t see unless you are in it. Scarlett is trying to make up for past mistakes and many people in town can’t (or will not) let her show them who she really is. Ruby and Mariah are great characters and a wonderful support network.

Erin Nicholle manages to pull together some wonderful tropes you never thought could cooperate and makes the story fun as Cian and Scarlett explore the possibilities. I love the way they fit together like puzzle pieces in spite of their very different upbringings. Cian is an expert-level dirty talker who is head over heels and every delicious moment builds a beautiful story as she lets down her guard and allows herself to fall for him just as he gets to know her family and understand her history. They really do bring out the best in each other! Every book in this series so far has been a true delight!

Connor Crais and Amelia Hugh perform this story in duet beautifully! From the dirty talking to the sweet moments and even the pain, they are both excellent voice actors who bring the story to life. Amelia is new to me, but I really enjoyed her performance and look forward to more. Connor is excellent as the cheeky, fun-loving prince with a heart of gold who can dirty talk with the best of them.
