The way this author writes, the way she develops each of this characters is mesmerizing. There’s no a book from her that I don’t like, because they are raw, heartbreaking and beautifully written. This is a taboo story, but the way it’s written, is captivating, and enthralling, just phenomenal. After a tragedy, Brant goes to live with the Bailey’s, they adopted him and he is treated like a son. He lives with his best friend and his little sister. Although, he never felt like their son in his mine, he is grateful for that life and loves them deeply. June was his lifeline when everything collapsed, when he lost everything, she was his gift. Until they their obsession with each other a hit a different way. This is forbidden, but they are incapable of fighting this forbidden attraction. After another tragedy strikes, they are forced to face reality. This audiobook was perfection. I finished it in 24 hours, yes, I listen at a 2x speed, there was no other way to go through this emotionally charged magnificent story. The narrators were perfection! This is a book that you will read over and over again.
