Zak is still an annoying insufferable character and I just skip his chapters now. kale is pretty much the same characte, author – “kale is totally unprepared and survives being killed by overwhelming force” this arbitrary plot armor for the most annoying characters this late in the series is why most shows and sagas lose intrigue and entertainment. this series is a a love story for child like ideals where these two idiots hate the thing that they are literally doing. I don’t know if this is on purpose but I’m so tired of listening to the same chapter over and over. has anyone told the author it’s ok to kill off side characters. the only interesting story ark is ryun and kale getting his sh t kicked in. it’s a great story, just feels like the author is just dragging obnoxious side characters with childish ideal and half their of chapters are them just complaining about the world. and everyone with a brain are just being adults moving forward and adapting. I cannot roll my eyes harder anytime Zak or kale enters. just kill them off already.
