I thought, overall, it was a decent story. Every time the warlock shifted time it seemed like cut and paste. It appeared like Shami couldn’t credit her audience with the intelligence to understand that …and he shifted… meant he went back in time.

Also, the characters, seemed to be somewhat bipolar. First they were calm then they were angry/upset and back.

The performance was okay. At times, understanding them was somewhat difficult.

I will get future books. If the annoyance level goes up that will be the end of Shami Stovall books.
