This book is a phenomenal payoff to books worth of foreshadowing and character development. The litrpg genre is som what new to me but it’s archetype in this example is a perfect container for the kind of heroes journey that made fall in love with stories and audiobooks in general. There is some crossover in the classics of fantasy literature and this format that scratch a very particular itch for my brain. Imagine a combination of the writing structure of Tolkien, the imagery of a shonen jump video game themed anime and a completely original, vulgar and extremely comical dialog that comes across equal parts psychotic and warm and cozy. An incredible series and another incredible entry. So many promises over so many books made me fear the task at hand for the author however, all promises were delivered and in doing so, sealed this entry as a benchmark in this series, as well as the litrpg genre in general. If I could give more than five stars I would. Hail the princess Queen Ann chonk!
