I like Walker’s stories and characters. This book does not seem like it was written by her but by either a high schooler or a grandparent? The writing is pretty bad. The steamy scenes were cheesy at times – I got tired of rolling my eyes. The characters were shallow, even with their back stories. The description of a very expensive suit made the vampire look “too cool for school”. The narration made it worse. I keep forgetting I don’t like this narrator’s voice as he sounds like a grandfather with a tremulous, nasally voice. DNF sad to say because I liked the underlying storyline.
