I tried getting through this and cringed at the writing. The writing quality is fine but the story was very very specific for a specific mindset. The hero was overly prepared (or maybe all preppers have everything ready to go?). Society collapsed at an alarming rate, where cops and citizens were shooting each other within hours of the power outage. Minorities with “gang tatoos” causing trouble hopped up on Marujuana (!!). It was clear this was written with a clear bias to one POV. Maybe there’s more layers to it, I jut couldn’t get through it….
