these are my favorite type of books–dystopian/apocalyptic /prepper–especially in these volatile times. i appreciate having Series books that are lumped together: easier to follow, endless hours of enjoyment. HOWEVER, being on book 9, I have to say, they are incredibly redundant. the first chapter of each book recaps the previous novels and that’s super frustrating. While I understand people may be new to the series, this is now book 9–and if they haven’t read the first 8 books, perhaps they should, instead of repeating over and over.
Kevin Pierce is one of my favorite narrators (Along.with Bronson Pinchot) Pierces voice is smooth like a well made bourbon, and pairs perfectly with this genre.
