I didn’t like it.

There was no reason given at the beginning of the story for us to actually like the main character.

Therefore it was an arduous journey for the reader to have to trudge through the entire book (that dealt with transportation problems more than anything else). If this is supposed to be a tale about redemption and repentance, then it gives us a reason to actually care about the main character from the offset.

The second letdown was that I thought the book was supposed to be about a nuclear war, not an asteroid storm hitting the Earth.

What a letdown. I’m glad it was short because I would have had trouble enduring it if it had been longer. The only part I enjoyed was the roof collapsing in on the people. At least about 4 sentences of the story were remotely interesting.

And “300 days” of what?…whatever happened to what the title of the book was about in the first place? Great…stay inside for 300 days because it’s cold out?….what a “thrill ride”.

Man, these positive reviews seem very very suspicious.
