STRONGLY disliked the FMC at times, her characterization was a bit flip floppy at the beginning and threw me off throughout the book. just nostalgic enough with just the right tone to bet a 4 star imo though. the spice is great and author manages to separate that from the story enough to keep the chikdhood fairytale retelling vibe and still give enough spice to make this a contender. all in all solid book, will get book 2 shortly,
