I really wanted this book series to be better then it is, it is worth the $8 I spent but man does the main character make me want to pull my hair out, the dude is a man child with the poorest decision making skills ive ever witnessed, the writing is so inconsistant with the rules of the infected and how they preceive the world around them, too much stuff happens simply to move the plot forward, there are so many deaths in this book that feel unwarrented like there could be some great character moments but the author falls back on the shock factor instead, it feels lazy to me personally, It was worth what I paid but most books are at that price
