I really like Horton. He is a great writer, but this Mad Mick character is just not the best. I got thru the first set of 3 books barely. Just not a good character. This second set I just had to stop listening to because he teams up with a Mossad agent. I just could not deal with listening to it. I really tried but it was way too annoying. Horrible.
I wish he would continue on with the Borrowed World series which is his Best to date. Great characters who are also funny at times. He really brings them to life. This mad mick series is just totally different. Even after 3 books I still did not like the main character. Just not relatable or interesting at all. Like I said, I really like this author a lot and the narration is excellent but not good plots or a character you can like with this mad mick series. All of his other books are fun and interesting. I guess I will be waiting a long while until something new comes out.
