In all honesty the opening left me feeling I would return unlistened but…….. what a gentle, emotional and hilarious tale unfolded.
I did find the narrator hard to listen to initially but the memoirs were such fun I ignored that.
Many things were so familiar from the lists of nature awakening to the flat battery, the dismissive attitude some have to country life and newly qualified professionals.
I had never heard of this series before but now I just might be hooked.
Nostalgic and pertinent.
