I’m sorry. I can usually gut out a book. But the writing in this one makes no sense. Characters are supposed to be 6 years old but have the vocabularies and insight of an adult- sometimes. Then they will slip back to a 6 year old POV. But the shift is not from Adult flashback to child pov…. it’s literally sentence to sentence. Over 300 audiobooks read and this will be the first that I return. The subject matter is too much for me as well.
