I started to listen to this, but eventually I quit once I had finished the first book. So, what is wrong? There is a thriving world in the story before the EMP. After the EMP you get the sense that the world is now vacant except when the author needs some action and then orchestrates a situation where the people encountered are the worst of the worst. There is no real plot other than an EMP attack, fend of the bad guys, and then get from point A to point B. The story is just not plausible and is not very engaging. The narrator wasn’t bad but I didn’t care for his different voices.
