Buy these books. Good, old fashioned story telling. However, parents or those in loco parentis, should make the call in regard to the very casual use of sex, alcohol and drug use, swearing and violence.

Personally, I never wanted the story to end. I would characterize the book as dark comedy. Mort was my favorite character, closely followed by Brad. Read it and you will see why. Taking a long stretch, one might characterize it as a collection of dark, futuristic Horatio Alger stories.

My ONLY negative comment: the Narrator consistently pronouncing the word “library ” as “LIBERRY”! I did not count but it seemed as though it occurred over 100 times. Otherwise, I found the narrator at the top of his class.

As far as the author, I found the story so enjoyable that I want to read everything J. S. Morin has written!
