Seeing the cute and excellent artwork of characters and Worldbuilding prior to reading, I wasn’t prepared for how teeth breakingly serious this got. Internally I knew, but knowing what you are in for doesn’t prepare you for the cold reality. Kind of like how Gert knew what was at stake but wasn’t prepared for how much of it would result in pain, blood, death, lies, and betrayal.
To any new reader, don’t go into this just thinking it is just “another horny furry novel”. When the plot demands for it to take itself seriously it takes itself seriously despite the circumstances. I looked forward to reading the main storyline that beget the franchise we all know and love.
