The novel by Kevin Lenihan begins with the shocking murder of a police officer, which deeply affects a small town near Boston, leading to divisions among the community regarding the guilt of Karen Read, the officer’s girlfriend. The author intricately reveals the complexities of the case, highlighting how public perception and mob mentality can influence justice and truth, while also engaging readers with a compelling narrative that explores the aftermath of the crime and using logic that one could come with a verdict beyond a reasonable doubt. Hard to be this is a true story; but it is. So, few are telling this side of the story … is it because those fear the mob? Has our justice system evolved to jury by public court?
Despite knowing the case well and following Kevin on his Cottage Tales Channel and watching him on Court TV; I wondered whether reading the novel would be beneficial. However, I was interested in his writing and was hooked from the 1st Chapter. Kevin is one of the few brave souls to tell this side of the story, thank you Kevin for the Novel. Well done, I was hooked right from the 1st chapter … it did not disappoint.
