I enjoy the world of the grand game overall but the fact that no major story point ever sees resolution before the end of the book is kind of infuriating, It’s not a Saturday morning anime episode, cliffhangers don’t work. By the time the next book comes out, any excitement from the current emergency will be long forgotten so it just leaves readers irritated and unfulfilled.
