The research for the story was really excellent. I have terrible hearing loss from an accident and I experience all the same things that Ethan went through and I continue to. The first thing that was stated about the hearing loss is absolutely true. It’s a very frustrating situation. I barely hear on the phone. I can’t hear more than two people at a time such loud noises and soft voices. It’s very hard to talk to anybody. I’m getting married soon. And I hope my husband will be as kind and caring as Clay.
