The premise was smart and interesting. The characters were all dislikeable, shallow, one dimensional walking tropes. The characters motivations were “Well, I have no logical or emotional reason to do this, but the plot demands it, so here I go.” The author’s knowledge of the military was so bad that I, a veteran, was actually offended at how inaccurate it was, something that has never happened to me before. At least the author finished his book and got it published, which is more than I have ever done. The voice actors did a great job, especially given what they had to work with, with one glaring exception. One character is repeatedly described as having a Southern accent, but the actor refuses to give it to her. Why?
