Scarlett was very guarded, and she had a past. But she was doing her best to show people that she wasn’t the same person. And with Cian, she saw that she didn’t have to prove to anyone that she was different, as long as she knew she wasn’t the same.
This was so cute, and I loved the relationship between Cian and Scarlett. And Scarlett’s daughter, Mariah? She was the best! The way she was so mature and stood up for herself without resorting to “fighting” back? She was great.
I’ve been enjoying this series, and I can’t wait for the next book.
