I’m only a few hours in and find it hard to keep going. It isn’t bad, but definitely not meant to scratch the average itch.
The story is decent enough. You’ve got a magic world actually using magic, hints at why things are the way they are and the all encompassing system everyone loves.
Now.. the main character is literally perfect. Main guy goes in, gets the most op skill because most mages are baddies. His physic, knowledge and wit are all perfectly designed for every situation. No traumas of killing because he’s in another world. The heck man… I want development in both person and skills.
The other characters are all perfect for his growth. Everything placed before him is Exactly what he needs or wants. He needs this skill, they got it. He needs this information, they got it. No mystery, no suspense. Just.. he’s already got it. Yay….
And finally, you’re immediately introduced with they/them, homosexuality and a slight acceptance of beastiality. I hold nothing against this, but I don’t partake in it either. As this kind of thing isn’t ingrained in everyone yet, place this stuff in slowly so that those not intrigued by it don’t turn the book off immediately.
