This is one of those series that I wish I could give more than five stars. Really fantastic, beginning to end.
So exciting throughout that I was on the edge of my seat the entire way. Truly frightening villains, great pacing, plot twists, danger, action, heroism, selfless acts, family drama, and to-die-for romance.
By the end, I was in awe of C.F. White’s ability to put together such a complex thriller/romance. I’ve read a number of other books by her in which she didn’t display her talent to the extent that it’s on show in this series. I am simultaneously feeling incredibly satisfied and blissfully happy for the MCs and sad that I can’t spend more time with them.
Audiobook: Piers Ryman is tops — and he can sing! He should get all the big narration gigs. Seriously, I was completely immersed in the story, never being aware of his narration except in hindsight, which is rare. Great character voices, accents, does male and female really well – just fantastic. He deserves to get more exposure, so I hope he breaks into better-known authors.
