It took me a while to get through this one just because it was so ridiculous and the main character wasn’t likeable. I don’t think MCs need to be likeable all the time but if they’re not, they need to be charismatic. And I didn’t find Cordelia particularly compelling. It all felt very paint by numbers (down to the literal blood paintings). sigh. it’s possible that the cover raised my hopes too much. it’s such a fun cover. I think this book could be an enjoyable beach read if you just want some female empowerment vengeance murder tropes thrown together with some ridiculous panic spiral decisions.
