My expectations were very high going into this. Though it didn’t quite meet my expectations of a “god-tier” or “6 star” read for me, I did enjoy it. Mamoru and Misaki’s mother and son point of views were a fun insight into the role of a firstborn warrior son and a warrior girl turned mother and how they both learn to break from the molds they’re put into while still being dutiful to their familial expectations.
