Outstanding series, for sure. Mid way through book one you’re out of the exposition and cookin. The narrator was excellent, particularly in his consistent separation of voices for each character. You knew who was speaking out of that consistency, which is a hallmark of excellent narrators. I think it was a step in a progression toward a true, lasting magnum opus for this author. There is a slightly higher level of sophistication possible for minor characters, and a little low hanging fruit that made it less challenging than say, The Stand. But the action sequences were top level, perfect. The story moved great and it all fit together as it should. Excellent work.
