I am surprised how much I enjoyed this book. When you describe the book as “an undead guy wakes up after a couple thousand years and takes his butler and apprentice wandering around to see what’s changed since he was last awake” it sounds rather dull. It absolutely wasn’t.
I like how chill Howard was. I got an absolute kick out of Alex and FenFang Ward one of the most plucky determined gals ever.
I’m on to listen to book 2.
