Did I love it? No. The first 50% I felt super icky with the trope and the grooming-ish feeling. I get it’s taboo so I tried overlook this. But next 50% was very slow paced. I didn’t love it, I didn’t dislike it. But it didn’t have the same capturing and captivating plot I’ve grown accustomed to with JH. I’d give it a 3.5 and round it to 4 for GoodReads. It def has some emotional parts and Brant’s knowledge and internal fight of right and wrong kept it from being a DNF for me.
However, the narrators did a great job and I would listen to them again!
