This time around it felt like the author was trying to play off his original creative world, and up the whole experience like 25%… But that lead to just poorly fitting overused tropes of all superhero gimmicks.
Plus at this point the entire “Industrial Strength Magic” or doing spells thru devices is not interesting and I really do not need a grimore recital for the spells components and steps…. Who needs it, it is less beneficial than providing me with snack recipes. Those could be used and add value to my experience.
This sequel needed a lot of filler and “Stat/ Spell recitals” removed to focus on what little plot was sprinkled in this book
