This is The Borrowed World Bookset books 1-3. The story begins with terrorist attracts on North America which shuts down the electric grids. Gas stations are shut down, there are runs on grocery stores and people are stranded far from home.
As society grows hungry and afraid, good people become targets and bad people terrorize those weaker than them.
You find yourself rooting for a group of coworkers, half who stay prepared for emergencies and those who have grown up in the world’s mightiest and most privileged empire to ever exist on earth and believe “the government” will just fix it in a few days.
The Borrowed World puts us in each character’s shoes, showing us sometimes you can’t judge others without judging ourselves, and some people just do not have a moral compass and you have to make hard decisions with your own life vs theirs
Great books. I will be purchasing the remainder of the set. Well done Mr Horton! Well done.
