Goodwin’s setups are always great and when things start to pop off, you can really get into it.

As the story plays out and the relationships “develop”, you are treated to the most adolescent, piddling dialogue imaginable. It’s painful to slog through the interpersonal interaction.

I know the guy’s got a schtick and it’s really working, so good for him, but the inanity of his characters in the most important areas of characterization/growth just grinds my gears something fierce.
