Mainly talking about book 9 spoilers WTH I thought the hired bodyguards were supposed to be good at their jobs. book 8 boss body guard got stabbed in the leg and pretty much walked it off in book 9 he gets shot In the chest With Body Armor and lays on the ground struggling to breathe while light speed is fighting over a gun and gets killed WTH oh an did I mention the other body guard must not have been wearing body armor because he’s dead WHY would a body guard not have fliping armor. So far the Franklin Horton has done an acceptable job at keeping it grounded… except barb. But honestly that ending pissed me the hell off. Getting shot in the plate might give you some broken ribs and a big bruise but it’s nothing to stop you from returning fire
