story building was engaging. after the climax I was wondering how the story arc would end with only 1/3 of the book remaining. As I was finishing the book I realized this had to be the first book of many I’m the series. When I found out the story ended here I felt immediately disappointed in the authors decision to build up redemption arcs and enemies only to see them not finished. I don’t understand that decision and it feels like a well written waste of time.
