An important cautionary tale. A long book, told by various narrators; some stronger than others. Difficult listen at times partially because of the uneven narration, partly by an overly complex plot. I often felt I was listening to a lecture: global economics; global pollution; global conflict; global immigration crises, and more. And a difficult listen in the summer of 2025 with the USA pulling out all the stops to pump more coal byproducts into the air, drill in their National Monuments, etc…I was tempted to stop listening a few times as it just wasn’t a pleasant listen. I am glad I finished listening.
