Book 1 is a bit rough. Immersion breaking at times. By book 3, the writing, world building and characters have improved a lot.
I would give book 1 a 1.5 star review, a bit disappointed that I bought it.
Book 2 moves up to a 2.5 star, not disappointed but pick it up on sale (or in a bundle like this one).
Book 3 is a 3 star, its fine, not great but not bad.
The overall improvements are why I gave the 3 star review.
I do not think I will continue with the series at this time. The story and characters are just not that compelling. There is potential there and the books are improving. Not enough for me to invest more money into it.
