It’s a wildly entertaining ride that somehow makes its absurdity work alongside its brutal reality.
The characters are hilarious and surprisingly deep, and the world-building is just fantastic. I tore through it, and now I’m absolutely dying to see what happens next. This is a must-read for any fiction fan, and seriously, bring on book two!
Jeff Hays delivers a phenomenal narration. His incredible range of voices for every character, from Carl to Princess Donut and even the AI announcer, truly elevates the story, making the humor land perfectly and intensifying the thrilling moments.
