I feel like most of his series are chaptered kind of short which draws out most aspects of the ongoing story but this book 3 is almost literally a full 6 hrs of a looong drawn out search for Dean where next to nothing else happens. Then when things do happen it’s like 4 chapters of 30 words each gets very very annoying. This isn’t a post apocalyptic survival story it’s a rich subdivision hoitee toitee’ing around being stupid and petty with no real consequences. Even though I want to know how some of the storylines progress it will be too long and drawn out with too much random unneeded stops and starts and a push to make a million 6 hr long books instead of telling an actual interesting and engaging novel.
