First two books? Great! Different idea on the Litrpg/vrmmo kinda genre. Seemingly well thought out and best of all, without some of the silly and annoying tropes many books in this genre seem to have.
Guess they saved them all up for book 3.
Suddenly the Mc can’t win a fight without 20 min of “look how smart I am!” Trial and error garbage.
The game itself now seemingly decides to not just make things more difficult but to add pointless annoying sarcasm and snark when responding to every thought the Mc has about the game.
And not to miss out on the stupidly named sidekick trope, Bob the wisp is just as know it all snarky and annoying as the game.
Oh ya, and sound effects…..who idea was that?
It’s rare that I make it to book 3 in a series and quit half way through. But this series turned into a dumper fire from the get go.
