Compelling characters, storytelling and a well done version of “isekai’d into a video game” trope that adds more intrigue than many concepts do, Jeff Hayes’ incredible narration makes me really glad I chose the audiobook version. He deftly voices every character in a way that captures the unhinged nature of the each character and the ludicrous situation they’re in. “Goddamn it, Donut” in its Patrick Warburton adjacent read will be stuck in your head forever.
