This book is one of the funniest, most entertaining books I have ever read. It’s a little like Hunger Games, Ready Player One, and Shane Gillis had a baby! The author does a great job striking the perfect balance of action, comedy, and impressive character development. This really is not just for people who love video games or D&D. It is entertaining for anyone not easily offended by language, sexual jokes, and all other forms of inappropriate humor.
As far as the narration: absolutely incredible. Probably my favorite narrator since Nick Podehl in Name of the Wind (also, screw you Patrick Rothfuss). I cannot stop hearing “NEW ACHIEVEMENT” in my head after every little thing that happens. The girl voices are surprisingly excellent for someone who sounds suspiciously like Patrick Warburton.
