I enjoyed the concept, the story, the characters, and the narrator. I do recommend some attention to detail based upon some of us history nerds catching errors. The US M1917 rifle was chambered in.30-06, not the .303 (7.7mm) caliber of its predecessor, the Pattern 14, or the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield #3, MK IV. There were some other errors easily remedied by more thorough research.
