This has great reviews and a lot of downloads. I’ve been on a post-apocalyptic kick and seeing as how this seemed very popular and I love the narrator. I’ve listened to several of his works lately. But I was bored out of my mind. I purchased the 3 book box set. I think one thing that didn’t help, was there seemed to be no character development, no back stories. The author jumped around setting the stage between several groups and characters and I had a hard time following it and staying interested. Finally after about 2/3s of the way through the second book, I started to get familiar with who was who and what was going on with them. The 3rd book I was enjoying it much more. At the end, the author came on and talked about some things, one being that this type of book isnt his usual genre and it made a little more sense. So, idk, don’t listen to me, lots of other reviews said it was fantastic. Imo, if you want good post-apocalyptic material, listen to Franklin Horton’s books.
