I had this recommended to me a lot of times on Book Tok. I thought I was missing out. I had never read anything by this author before and so it was a rough start as there isn’t much by way of describing the world in this book and there is a lot of jargon – like the time units.
What I got was a story that had me confused a lot of the time and with a pretty good payoff, but even then it feels incomplete. Great characters, action, and it was very memorable. I just thought this was a standalone book I could read. And you can, but it left me wanting at this point.
