Because overall? Maddie is THE MOST infuriating character I have ever read, and I’ve read thousands. I want to look past the infuriating naivety, and simply chalk it up to a character trait. But given that Madison is THE MAIN fmc? I just cannot! This story? Is fabulous. The writing? Incredible. Narration? Excellent! It’s the only book out of the countless I’ve read where I can say all those things and still wonder if I’m going to be able to actually finish it. What I WANT to do is devour it! EeeehhhhehehhedddddhddehyyuMadison? OH MY FREAKIN GOSH, someone need to slap and shake her! I’m all for advocates for humanity but this girl? Sheeeeeesh! She’s effing ridiculous and I sincerely hope it’s dialed down soon so I can stop setting this book down when my eyes roll so hard they hurt.
